Department Responsibilities- Advise the Sheriff on technical needs for the upcoming budget year.
- Install software, support, maintain, and upgrade all computers, servers, network, and other technical equipment.
- Research new technology and determine needs for those advances throughout the agency.
- Research and document the technical requirements for new interfaces/improvements to existing records management software.
- CJIS Security Audit preparation and adherence
- Agency CJIS Security Policy creation and advisement
- Maintain equipment that allows Patrol vehicles and Investigators to remotely connect to the agency network utilizing CJIS compliant methods.
- Troubleshoot call-routing issues with agency and 911 phones
- Deployment and management of the agency website.
- Deployment and management of the training website used by our agency and other agencies to register for classes provided by the Training Division.
- Maintain inventory of computers, phones, cell phones, hotspots, printers, and other technical equipment purchased with county funds.
- Rotational 24/7/365 on-call schedule
